Knee replacement surgery. Attended the Texas Art Educators Conference. Traveled to Nebraska to discuss the bequest of journals. Reconnected with Jon McNulty. Planned the 15-year anniversary of 29 Pieces (scheduled for 2020).
I had seen images of the Romanov ball and Countess Keller. I didn’t just think, "That looks like me"—I said, "That's me." That moment led to deep reflection on the nature of recognition—recognizing another and oneself in another. What are we here to be awed by? The blank journal used for this period was created by Terri LeNoir of Paper Arts in Dallas.
Planning for the upcoming 15-year anniversary of 29 Pieces. Presented the LOVE Project with Judy Stone-Nunneley at the Texas Art Educators Conference in Galveston. Held a 29 Pieces Advisory Board meeting. Launched the website ArtistsMakingAKinderWorld.org. Collaborated with Peter Wood to create posters for 12 lessons from the "Artists Making a Kinder World" program. Prepared for 29 Pieces’ booth and appearance at TAEA. Continued planning for the journal bequest.
