Transcription: "The Porch, This structure replicates the porch of the original 1875 boarding house of the State Agricultural Farm and the residence of S.W. "Dad" Perin, Farm Superintendent from 1889 to 1930.

The Porch was constructed in part with funds from the William G. Whitmore fund.

It is maintained from an endowment established by the granddaughters of S.W. Perin: Edna R. Emerson, Marion R. Prentice and Courtney R. Jones."
