West Point, Nebr., February 17, 1898.
Dear Marcia:-
I herewith return Lawrence's letter and printed report. His letters are all very interesting, and from this preliminary report I should say that he is quite successful in his work. I think the grasshoppers will have to quit business on the extensive scale that they have been carrying on for the last year or so since Lawrence has been after them.
I see in the papers that Prof. Card has resigned to go to Experimental Station of Rhode Island.
Lilie and Ida went to Omaha to attend Katie Haven's wedding yesterday.
Please write when Lawrence cables you that he is to start for home.
Very truly yours,
Uriah Bruner
