Omaha, Neb., Sept. 18, 1906.
Dear Wolcott:
I was disappointed to get your letter yesterday announcing change
of plans which precluded Omaha trip. Had hoped to see you.
It will be impossible for me to come down Saturday, as I must take
Sunday to get out another of my entertaining communications to the members
of the N.O.U. I had thought I would be able to take time for a day
in Lincoln, but things have taken such a turn that I can not do it, as this
Sunday may be the last chance to get out the letters referred to - for I
expect to leave for the coast within a few days. My evenings are taken
up with work in the printing office, so you see there is not much chance
to do anything extra except on Sunday.
Please let me know before Sunday if practicable
(1) the intention of the Union in the matter of publication;
(2) what disposition has been made of the letters furnished you
some months ago addressed to Lincoln members.
In my opinion it is imperative that we give the members some sort of a
publication as early as it can be done.
Elizabeth writes from Hot Springs that she has taken three kinds of
tiger beetles - vulgaris, one which is probably graminea of the purpurea
group, and one not described in her letter.
