Omaha, Sept. 14, 1906.
Dear Wolcott:
Your card just received. Will not be able to take trip Tuesday,
as I can not get away from the office; but why can't you
Leave Lincoln #42 Burlington 4:15 p.m. 17th
Arrive Omaha 6:30
Feed at Idleburg Caffay 7:00-8:00
Taggers; rag-chewing; 9:00 p.m. 17th - 5:00 a.m. 18th
Sleep 5:00 - 6:00
Then go about the triflin' matters which cause your trip to Omaha; we can
take up our program again at 6:00 p.m. and repeat with variations until
you-all figger you-all must go home.
Say! Will you please bring about a dozen - darn, I can't remember
the name, but those fellers who gave you such a pretty lot of work to get
40 of them. Want to send half dozen to Luetgens, New York, and want
samples myself; not bein' at all forward or anything about askin' for
them, you see.
If you can not come Monday evening please let me know by card, and
try to stay over Tuesday night.
With best wishes
Yours hastily,
