Lincoln, Apr. 18, 1905.
My dear Shoemaker,
Tomorrow night at 7:30 Prof.
Bruner, Dr. Ward and I leave for the Forest Reserve at
Halsey, to be gone till the 28th; If it were only possible
for you to come up over Sunday—should love, beside
the hermits, all sorts of nests to photograph. Have some
new Sandhill pictures taken by Prof. Emerson and
duplicates for you. Shall be in Omaha with the medic,
Wed., May 3, and can stay over May 4—cannot
you fix it somehow to get a day off?
Come to Halsey—if possible!! address me here,
if you do. Anyhow arrange for May 4—
