On the Ranch
Dear Miss Bruner,
I remember well you saying were not there when the will was written, and you seemed very anxious to tell the people so when you were not even asked about it. No you weren't there for you had gone to Sacramento the day before. Mr Bruner was at home and Seba went over there and it was at that time and in your home was written. I must say that it was all agreed upon between you, Bruner and Seba what the will was to contain. Nor will I say that Bruner influenced her, but is was written by her so as to cast reproach on my character.
