Dear Marcia, Lawrence and all.
I will now answer your kind letter, we were indeed surprised at the contents of your letter; and just think yet, that it can scarcely be true Hudson can't forget [?] he too thinks the man must have been out of his mind. I feel so sorry for his wife and children, what can any one think to do such a thing!
We are haveing such terrible cold weather, but I suppose it is best to be cold in winter.

I am so well this winter so far, had no cold or any thing to complain of. I weigh more than I ever weighed. 185 lbs. And all my clothes are getting too small.
Aunt Rillie's family is well. All our folks are well too.
Lillie expects to go to Lincoln before long to stay a week or two. I wish I had little Alice here a little while every day.
