THE UNIVERSITY.
Saturday, November 6, is the day set for the first field day of the sophomore and freshmen classes. It is proposed to make this an annual affair, and the managers are doing their best to have the first one so good that the custom of holding these days will be firmly established from the beginning. Efforts will be made to run the events off with as little delay as possible, with a view to the comfort of the spectators as well as the participants. As an extra attraction the elevens of the seniors and junior classes will struggle for class supremacy: game called at 1:30 p.m. The universit athletic board has donated a $10 black suit to the individual scoring the highest number of points, but all other prizes have been generously donated by the business men of Lincoln, chief among which is a $25 sliver water set, to be awarded to the class securing the greatest number of points. This service remains in the university and is to be contested for on every fresh-soph field day, An admission fee of 10 cents will be charged.
