Chancellor MacLean had his head-quarters in the commandant's room in the northeastern corner of the armory and was besieged by a large number of peoples. .
Charles C. Schiveley of Baker university, Kansas, has entered the university of Nebraska and will room with his uncle, Rev. T. F. Stauffer, 850 North Twenty-sixth street.
Russell Thorp, who was one of the most popular students at the state university a year or so ago, was in the city yesterday calling on his many friends, Mr. Thorp will be in St. Louis hereafter.
Work on the chapel is being hurried as much as possible, The first chapel exercise will occur Saturday morning. Former students may expect to be unable to recognize the place, it is now so prettily and neatly finished.
Among university events next week will be on Wednesday the first faculty recital of the school of music, on Thursday the annual Y. M. C. A. and Y. W. C. A. reception to students and faculty, on Friday the annual reception by the literary societies, Saturday the city endeavor reception to students, Sunday address before Y. M. C. A.
