Dear Lawrence
It is discouraging work trying to write to you when I feel as if you might not get my letters. and then I do not hear from you as often as I ought. I shall be so glad when I hear that you have recieved some of my letters because I have written lots of them. It seems as if you might write to me once a week when you are at your headquarters. The last letter nearly two weeks ago said you were sick with malanial fever. and here I have not heard a word since. it is cruel to treat me so. if you are well enough to write you shuld have done so
