Lincoln, Nebr., Dec. 8, 1903. William Dutcher, 525 Manhattan Ave. New York. My Dear Sir;- I have just come across your letter of July 11th in which you speak of having been interested in certain press clippings from the Lincoln Evening News and Omaha Bee of July third, in regard to Game Commissioner Carter's efforts to teach children of Nebraska about the birds of the state, I do not remember whether or not I answered you letter at the time of its receipt. At any rate there is no harm in my doing it now even though late. I have spoken to Mr. Carter concerning these Educational Leaflets together with other methods of interesting children in bird protection and he has assured me that he is ready to cooperate in every way possible though little or no funds are availble for the purpose. Yours very truly,
