My dear [illegible]

Your letter just recieved —
Enclose copy asked for - one or two proposed pa- pers withdrawn are not included. Have just
held a caucus and think ten or eleven will
come up. I expect Bates of Long Pine, Sessions
of Norfolk, Leffert of West Point and perhaps one
or two from Nebraska City. Your note to the teach- ers all right.

Very appreciatively yours,
Wolcott.

C. HART MERRIAM, CHIEF.
T. S. PALMER, ASSISTANT CHIEF.

Mr. Frank H. Shoemaker
206 Omaha Natl. Bank Bldg.
Omaha, Nebraska.

Dear Sir :

Your letters of the 22nd inst. are at hand. In compliance
with your request I take pleasure in sending you by this mail one
of my few remaining copies of my recent report on 'Mount Shasta'.
The official edition was exhausted long ago.

Respecting the bird migration matter, I regret to state that
owing to lack of funds we have never been able to elaborate and
prepare for publication the vast accumulation of data collected
from all parts of the country nor have I any reasons to hope we
shall be able to do this in the near future.

Very truly yours,

C. Hart Merriam
Chief, Biological Survey.
