Handwritten letter, 2 pages, from Robert H. Wolcott to Frank H. Shoemaker, "I have these beetles unlabeleed awaiting that formality and give me your the list:"

now i think if you do all of this it will keep you busy in and out
of mischief - for some time. But really I feel like imporing on you in send
ing so many forms~ please do not hesitate to cut some of them out if you
haven't plenty of time to spare for the thing I cannot tell you how much
I appreciate your kind offer ~  honestly I don't think any labels could be
neater ~ and Prof Bruner was so well impressed that he is getting up copy
for a number of plater for the laboratory

Soyon have "first blood" for 1906 - with your limbalis, Jan 28. I'm sure
I emld have duplicated the the performance here if I could have gone out ~ but
I was too busy ~ till the Academy of Science meeting was over on the 3rd ~ and
it has been cold since The past week have ben correcting examination
papers and note-books and starting the work of the new semester now for
my correspondence ~ and then I'll be "squance" again for the first time since
before Christmas.

Am planning ahead already for the summer campaign ~ it depends on Braun
erand Barbor to pay how much I get about the state But shall work this
vicinity including the part basin ~ to a finish and hope hope to get to Omaha
several times. But mind you ~ you are herely ordered to lose no opportun-
ity to come with or without previous notice ~ down here to Lincolon, without
any regards to the number of times I may find it possible to come up
there. And Mr Woleoll joins me in the invitation~ and alas in the
hope that miss Vansant may find it possible to accompany you, on sev-
eral, at least, of your visits. The salt basin isn't the only place here and
I would like to show you the other places It will be the last season for the
shosebird exhibit at the lake as the basin will be filled with water in
June, being opened as a pleasure resort.

We must get plenty of C. sexguttala at Omaha this spring ~ and of
C. Knausic  here, besides a big series of our other species
Will get the Eleoder off the week ~ sure honest frijen cross my heart-
te.-  My university work and Academy address and meeting had to come
first. As the subject of my presidential address for the Academy I took
Biological Conditions in Nebraska", and traced the changes which had tak-
en place since the settlement of the state as well as discussing those of the
present day

Please excuse the loks of this letter ~ my pen seratehes badly and I
cannot find another, with very warm regards  to all there, and hop
ing your work has gone well,

Very sincerly, your friend,
Robt.H.Wolcott
