Lincoln - Mon. aft.
Dear Shoemaker,
Arrived here all o.k. at
12:40 a.m. - saw Miss Caldwell to a hack
and then tramped 27 blocks home in rain.
But didn't get very wet. Rain began here yes-
terday at 7 a.m. Just now "breaking away".
It was a great trip and a most enjoyable vis-
it to look upon, and I only hope we make it
half as pleasant for you next Sunday as you
did for us yesterday. Come down Saturday
on the earliest train possible. With regards to
all - Very sincerely
Robt. H. Wolcott.

Omaha, May 11, 1904.
My dear Wolcott:
Contrary to my expectations, I shall not leave town this week, and wil
be able to spend Saturday afternoon with the bird folk. It will be a great
pleasure to see you again; it has been almost a year since we got together.
Trostler states that you expect to come up Friday and have a day at
the Point.
the Point. Can you not arrange to stay with us Friday night? We are all
going down to the train Saturday morning - that is to say, all both of
us. Mr. Van Sant leaves for Waterloo, Iowa, on Friday, but he suggested
that you make yourself at home here, and Elizabeth and I will be fairly
good to you. We want to talk your arm off. Do not hurry your trip at
all; come in at any hour before my bedtime, which is about 1:30 or 2:00.
We shall expect you, and will save a little cornpone.
I enclose a postal which I prepared this evening, and which will
be mailed first thing in the morning to all Omaha members and associates.
Hoping to see you Friday evening, I remain, with best wishes to
yourself and Mrs. Wolcott,
Your friend,
