Dear Shoemaker -

How are you? Why haven't
you written? The reason I have not is this -
On my return here I found news of the sickness
of my mother - I went at once to California but
was not in time to see her alive. On my return
my summer school work was away behind and
other work too. Then we had to move and between
all I have been working night and day. Am rath-
er expecting to go to Indiana next week to a meet-
ing of the Amer. Microscop. Soc. Have you any prints
of the pictures we took in the Sandhills I can take
with me. Hope to see you before long

With very warm regards Wolcott
