The following arrangement for the Latin School Department was presented by the Chancellor.

Entrance, Examination

Reading, Spelling, English Grammar. Pr.. Arithmetic and Descriptive Biography.

Second    Latin
    Physical Geograhpy
    History U.S.
Third
    Latin Grammar

    Alegbra and Geometry

    Latin, Greek or German
    English Analysis
Third
    Rhetoric and Ancient History
Latin Department

Regent McKenzie offered the following which was adopted.

Resolved,

That the Latin School Department as arranged by the Chancellor be adopted.

Tutor

Regent McKenzie moved that- the Board employ a Tutor for the Latin Department, which motion prevailed.


Tutors Salary By Whom Appointed

On motion the Salary of the Tutor was fixed at one thousand dollars per annum.

On motion of Regent Chase the University committee was authorized to employ & Tutor for one year.
