Beverly Keever at a press lunch
-
Description
-
After the 1963 coup against Diem, Beverly Keever and other members of the press were invited to a celebratory lunch by a Buddhist political group. In this photo, Keever and several other members of the press sit at a table in a Saigon restaurant. The table is set with fine glassware and plates, but the general mood of the reporters is somber. Keever sits second from the right, in a fashionable dress. Only one other members of the press is identified, John Sharkey of NBC.
