Original caption: "Saigon - Checking Sidewinder - After shooting down a MIG-21 jet with Sidewinder missiles, Air Force Maj. Paul J. Gilmore (left), 33, of Alamogordo, NM, and 1st Lt. William T. Smith, 27, of Wayne, Pa., check one of the heat-seeking missiles left on their plane. The Phantom crew downed a MIG-21 about 65 miles north-northeast of Hanoi, Apr. 26." Two American airmen inspect a missile they are holding between them. There is an airplane wing is in the background. Their hats read "480 TFS."
