Original caption: "Swift - Capable of speeds in excess of 25 knots, this 50-footer is aptly named the SWIFT. It mounts a twin .50-cal. Machine gun atop the pilot house and carriers a dual-mount combination, .50-cal machine gun and 81mm mortar aft. The first SWIFTS arrived in South Vietnam on Oct. 31, 1965, when they went on patrol out of An Thoi, Phu Quoc Island, as units of the Coastal Surveillance Force, engaged in preventing the infiltration of men, arms and supplies into the country for the Viet Cong." An American motor boat in open water.
