Original caption: "Over 100 shells from enemy coastal batteries bracketed the U.S. Seventh Fleet heavy cruiser, USS St. Paul while on an offshore mission, along the North Vietnamese coast. The ship returned the fire with her 8-inch and destroyed one enemy gun emplacement, damaged another, and still managed to destroy her original target."
