Description

Original caption: "Tuy Hoa, Vietnam - Second Lieutenant Frank Corrado of Chicago, Illinois, a Civil Affairs Officer attached to the 1st Brigade, 101st Airborne Division presents a radio to a Vietnamese woman for having the cleanest house in the Dong Tre refugee center near Tuy Hoa as village and district officials look on. The "Clean Up" program was initiated by the Brigade Civic Action personnel to better the living conditions of the refugee center on a monthly basis by offering prizes to the villagers. Other prizes of clean up kits were awarded to the next fifteen cleanest houses." An American soldier hands a Vietnamese woman a radio. A group of 5 Vietnamese men stand around them, some holding boxes. There is a corrugated iron shack in the background.
