Description
-
Original caption: "Hq 2AD Tan Son Nhut Afld, RVN - Plucky Sentry dog - Duchess, a U.S. Air Force sentry dog poses with her handler. A2C Clifford F. Davis of Knoxville, Tenn. The German Shepard probably saved Airman Davis' life last week when she took a bite from a krait snake in tall grass while on patrol. Krait bites are fatal to humans in almost every instance, but the plucky sentry dog survived and is back on duty." An American soldier crouches next to a military dog, probably a German shepherd.
