Prompt on card: What will you remember about this period of your life?

Written on card:
The thing I will remember the most is that as an introvert it was great being able to be stuck in my apartment and read all day. I also went through a time in my life when I dealt with a lot of personal turmoil and discovery which made me stronger and a better person. I also met a very special guy who hopefully I'll spend a long time with.
Prompt on card: What do you miss most/least about life from before the pandemic?

The word "most" from the prompt is circled in blue colored pencil, and words written in blue on the left side indicating what was missed most are: freedom to travel, students over for dinner, and chapel and events in person.

The word "least" from the prompt is circled in hot pink colored pencil and written in pink on the right side indicating what was missed least: overbooked schedules.

Multi-colored crayon drawing of a rectangular dining table with four people seated around it. Printed under the drawing: Daily lunches with our family.
Prompt on card: Describe or draw what the pandemic has taught you

Written on card:
The pandemic has taught me not to take for granted being able to spend time with friends and especially family. When I have opportunities to be with family I take advantage of it. I learned how much I really need to be around others and meet new people. It taught me to take of myself and my health so that in times like the pandemic I will be much more likely to come out of it safely. I learned that something as small as a virus can cause global change. I learned that it takes a long time to return to "normal" after these type of events and there will more and likely be a new normal. I just hope we can all learn about coming together to help one another to survive these types of life changing events.

A lot more work late at night
A lot more work
To remember to take nothing for granted -- Psalm 127:1
Prompt on card: Describe or draw what the pandemic has taught you.

Written on card:
We were in Chicago when the pandemic became a true reality. Everything started shutting down -- museums, restaurants, bars, the NBA, March Madness, schools, etc. That was the last time we saw the family. We were able to connect with video chats and were finally able to see them again a few weeks ago. The pandemic taught me the true value of family. We were forced to slow down and really spend time together. While I have always valued and cherished my family and being together, all the time has taught us more about each other. And the first hugs to my parents and watching my kids run into their arms is something I will never forget and will never take for granted.

Prompt on card: How has the COVID 19 pandemic changed or challenged you?

Written on the card:
I have learned so much about my own resilience and my own limits. I taught myself knitting AND crochet and my husband and I adopted a second dog. I also had two very serious medical conditions (non-COVID) diagnosed during the pandemic. It may have been a blessing in disguise -- so much of regular life, work and social --

Written on the card, continuing from side 1:
obligations, came to a stop that I was able to go through treatment and be a little less than I normally am without the stress of also missing out or being absent. I feel enormous gratitude along with profound sadness for everyone and everything we have lost. And angers at the failures of leadership, and our inability as a society to take care of the most vulnerable among us. I fear it will take much much longer for us all to recover from that.
