Part of Challenge: Palladian Minutes
While they were deliberating another committee from Union society brought in bill of S. C. Elliot for $2.85 which had been sent to Unions by mitake.
A. G. Warner stated that said bill had been pad. He was therefore appointed to satisfy Mr. Elliot.
Names proposed: Clara E. Caldwell and Mr. Spelde.
Elected, W. C. Hardy and Miss Grace Barrett.
Lichty moved that an order be drawn on treasurer for $22.50, the same to be paid C. C. Chase for chandelier. Carried.
The contest committee reported the following resolutions:
Whereas, we have twice attempted to hold a contest with the honorable Union Literary Society of the University of Nebraska, and
Whereas, said contest was in the first occasions postponed at the request of said society 'till it was impossible, and on the second occasion was postponed and finally abandoned at the regret of the same Literary Society, and
Whereas, thinking that such work as this was the last possibility in the way of nonsense, we have bade arrangements to have two contests between our members, which will make all the work which we care to undertake, therefore be it
Resolved, that with all respect to our would-be opponent,
