- Description
- The image features an open journal displaying two pages filled with handwritten text. The journal is set against a dark background, enhancing the visibility of the cream-colored pages. Several small fabric tabs in colors like red, purple, and yellow are attached to the page edges, suggesting different sections within the journal. The left page contains text written in black ink, with a compact handwriting style. The page to the right has text in blue ink, appearing more spaced out and slightly larger. Additionally, there are two paper slips sticking out from the top of the journal, with visible lettering "VERTIGO" in white on a red background.

Left Page:
"Smallish. Muscular. Right into the bedroom. Did blood pressure- tested for stroke (no).
heart attack (no).
I walked to the ambulance with my arm around the one with glasses. He drove. They got me to sit on a gurney + rolled it into the ambulance. My first ride. Very bouncy. The emt in the back with me told me about having COVID twice + his father in law got very sick from it.
At the hospital - Baylor ER - things were pretty quiet.
Ran the stuff. The ER folks could see Kelly at the door trying to get in. They said "I don't know what button he's pushing because he can't come in that door."
Right Page:
"The ER folks took over - transferred me to a rickety old bed in room E-65. The whole place looked a bit shabby - not like the orthopedic hospital I was in - In Frisco
The emt guys made fun of the bed.
Kelley was there quickly. He'd gone to the public entrance + they put a big sticker on his chest + sent him in.
The cast of characters:
1) a nurse - Tiana - heavyset Black Woman. Nice, friendly. Put an IV in, took blood.
2) Dr. Mazur. Lives in Ft. Worth. Small (petite), sometimes stays with her brother in Lakeview. She said a month ago - everyone had COVID. Now, not so much - Rights
