The journal has several tabs sticking out from the top and side, each with text that is not fully visible. The tabs are printed in colors like red and yellow. Left Page:

"Strange. I'd ben thinking/oor having flashes of memory to Mom falling at the train station in Columbus. It was late at night + we were seeing Lily off on a trip back to Chicago. She fell - falling forward - on concrete. A bad fall. I can feel it in my body - though these 50+ years and from her 60 ish year old body to mine - now at almost 70. It must've been a horrible jolt to her. Painful. And I have been "feeling" it the past 3 or 4 days. Then yesterday I fall on concrete.
That's strange thing #1."

Right Page:

"Strange thing #2.
Flashing impulses to move back to my hometown - and buy one of the lovely, gracious homes that I liked there. My first thought was of Jamie Johnson's home - on 16th I think - and a block or so away from what was our junior high school at that time.
I made a mental note to check homes for sale in Columbus. Las night I did and...
that same house is for sale - $399,000.
But really - would I move back to Columbus? no. "
