Transcription: Design Approach
We lead with LOVE and ART. Art created by teachers, students, artists and participants of all ages is the heart of the design of each of the five sections of the exhibit. The narrative of the experience is crafted to bring joy, playfulness, clear intention and a series of acknowledgements: of the present moment, of pain endured, of the possibility of solutions and of absolution earned.

1. 19 PRESENT MOMENT/ THE SENSES Portals.
Art created to bring people into the current moment, where our country, our democracy stands.

2. ACCORDIAN FOLD BOOK Portal.
Books bring us wisdom. The art represented here will show what we have witnessed and what we can do to arrive at the ideals stated in our founding documents.
The book encourages democratic participation.

3. 19 TEACHER’S DOORWAYS Portals.
A homage to educators across the land who build inviting learning environments for our future leaders and voters. Setting the example of activism, participation, and leading people to love and support one another.

4. The GALLERY.
Art representing the future that we behold. The future that is possible through community activism.
Showing connectivity, beauty, and insight into our future.

5. 19 CROWN Portals.
The word "CROWN" is an announcement, a communication and reward for love, kindness and commitment. This art inspires participation and shows the future.
