Description
The image shows an open journal against a dark background. Each page features different content. The left page displays a vertical strip of colorful artwork, with various small illustrations including abstract designs, a figure with outstretched arms, and a face, all set against vibrant red, blue, and green backgrounds. Multiple miniature artworks are aligned in a grid format, creating a collage effect. The right page contains handwritten text in black ink. At the top, bold handwritten words read, "We are Ready" followed by "I am ready." Below, a paragraph beginning with "(P.S. added Jan 6,2024)" discusses various reflections about team dynamics and design work. Along the spine's edge, several fabric strips of different colors are visible, acting as bookmarks.

We are Ready. I am ready.

(P.S. added Jan. 6, 2024) I don't recall the exact conversations with the LA Press Board, team and funders that led to the go-ahead of The Americans Love Pride. But there were discussions and the enthusiasm may've been across the board. The team formed. Donors came forward. Strategies took shape. It was a lot of work but the work went smoothly with the exception of Ramin's concern - the web designer in the beginning.
