ITMAD-UD-DAULAH

Itmad-ud-Daulah is other beautiful historic building in Agra. It is situated on the opposite side of river Jamuna. It was built by Empress Noor Jahan, the beloved wife of Prince Saleem Jahangir, in the memory of her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg, who was the Prime-Minister of the Mughal Court. It was started in 1622 A.D. and was completed in 1629 A.D. fore-runner of the Taj many of the designs of it were made in the Taj.
