Right Page: "varanasi, monday We flew air india from mumbai to varanasi today. The drive through varanasi, to the taj palace, was sad. Dusty, bleak-crowded, even the leaves of trees & shrubs were covered with dirt & dust. We arrive at the (undecipherable) It is beautifully luxurious paradise, to a greeting from costumed gentlemen. - throwing a linen on welcoming a string marigold petals in a t, sprinkler drops of scented water. Rubb gave us a tour of the hotel... spa, organic gardens yoga room pool, big porches. Even the sky is more blue on these grounds. However, the room is stunning. The Lord"
