- Description
- The image shows an open journal with two pages. The left page contains a printed text of William Shakespeare's famous quote, "To be, or not to be, that is the question," from Hamlet. The right page has handwritten notes. At the top, it reads "Then came Jan. 6, 2021." Below this, there is a note about listing four things on the mind-weight. The bottom of the page includes two photographs: one of a crowd gathered in front of a building, and another of a room with people. The handwritten text continues with "Transcend THAT!" followed by a quote: "the thousand natural shocks, 'a sea of troubles,' 'the law's delay.'"

Printed Text:
"To be, or not to be, that is the question"
By William Shakespeare
(From Hamlet, spoken by Hamlet)
"To be, or not to be, that is the question.
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them. To die—To sleep,
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to; 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep—
To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there's the rub:
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause. There's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life."
Handwritten Notes:
Then came Jan. 6, 2021
Transcend THAT!
At the start of this journal
I listed 4 things on my
mind-weights.
At that time—blind
to the abyss that was
coming on Jan. 6, 2021.
