Description
The page is part of a scrapbook or journal. On the left side, there is a photograph of a forested area with trees and some cleared ground. Overlaid on the photo are white rectangular strips with black text, quoting a Chinese proverb: "There's a Chinese saying, 'When is the best time to plant a tree? Twenty years ago.' The Chinese engineer smiles, 'Good one.'" On the right side, there are handwritten notes in cursive, discussing a conversation about a tree and its removal, mentioning names like Paul Patterson, Manuel Alviso, and Ricky. The handwriting is somewhat messy and includes some corrections and deletions.
