Then what? Do the parents watch wistfully as their babies fly away? All that urgency of their upbringing? Or where does it go? Do the babies have lasting loyalty to their parents? Or does life simply move on? Do babies take care of parents in their old age? I realized I know nothing about birds, or parents, or parents + children. The long view responsibility.
