These people who are part of our lives. We meet them. And we all move on.
We all must prepare for the moment when this whole life—the relationships, the loves, the beauty, the striving, the sorrow—all coalesce. And we once again become the drop that we are.

Tuesday, Gretchen has a double mastectomy at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. The friends are standing up to help, give support, bring food, make her laugh.
She cannot die from this. The prognosis is very positive as I understand it.
