Our sweet Flame will not be with us for long. He has not eaten for days. I love him so and hope he is in heaven. In the past, as it became apparent that we were about to lose a beloved animal, I would whisper to them, "Come back to me." Now I whisper, "Watch for me on the other side. Maybe I will see you in our next lives." It's all a great mystery, of course, but what great love they give us.
