Description
The image shows an open journal featuring handwritten text and artwork on two pages. The left page contains written text in red ink, discussing personal reflections on relationships and memories related to family. The handwriting is slanted and fills most of the page. The bottom of this page shows "Christian Lacroix" printed in small, gray lettering at the center.

The right page features colorful artwork and text in red and green ink. A large heart is sketched in the center with red shaded clouds surrounding it. Inside the heart, the phrase "A Light Trusting Heart" is written in large letters. Above the heart, it says "Prayers for" and includes the words "Trust and "Faith" vertically. Below the heart, the phrase "Rising Above Fear" is emphasized, surrounded by stylized red lines and an illustration of a sun on the horizon. The bottom part of the page has additional text in green ink, with overlapping lines filling the lower margin. The same "Christian Lacroix" text is printed at the bottom center of this page as well.

Left Page:

While Grandma was alive, Mom never spent one day away from her, except for our one or two days in Chicago, when Grandma broke her hip. I didn't perceive their relationship - except for Mom giving care to Grandma. They must have had many private moments - when I was at school, Dad at work, Grandpa playing cards. Was Mom grief stricken about Grandma's death? It barely registered with me. Shocking insensitivity... looking back at it. If anything, God for give me, I may have been glad that Mom was freed of the heavy lifting.
There's so much I will never know."
