Description
The image shows an open, aged notebook with worn, rough-edged pages. The left page features handwritten text in black ink, discussing a meeting with someone named Jonathan and the topics they discussed. The handwriting is slightly uneven and slanted. The right page also contains handwritten text, but much of it is redacted with black bars. The parts of the text that are visible mention feelings of loss and emotional connections. The background is dark, and the notebook has a vintage appearance.

Jan. 3, Trump drops a bomb in the Middle East, igniting—what? I meet for 3 hours with Jonathan Min[n]ult at Handsmith coffee. Jonathan talks rapid fire, filling me in on what's gone on with him & the family since 2003. [Redacted text] His pain at the loss of David and more recently Peter was raw and opened up to tears two times. My connection to him—the murder—the interviews with him, his Mom, the others felt very immediate. I told him that my life was forever intertwined with David's, with him, and with his family.
