- Description
- The image shows an open notebook with a red cover lying flat against a black background. The pages are lined, and there is handwritten text on both visible pages. The left page contains faint, partially visible writing that is not easily readable due to being mirrored. The right page has clear, legible handwriting in black ink, recounting an anecdote involving a neighbor's comment about a Pulitzer Prize winner performing a mundane task. Below this is a mention of The Columbus Telegram and a humorous comparison to an "ugly bartender contest."

- "a neighbor saw me emptying the kitty litter box + said 'Pulitzer Prize winners shouldn't have to do that.' The Columbus Telegram announced the win on their front page. My picture was right next to and given equal play with the fellow who'd won the ugly bartender contest. Life is humbling."
