Description
The image displays an open sketchbook with two pages visible. On the left page, there are two photographs placed vertically showing a woman standing in a room with a large portrait behind her. In the top photograph, she is facing forward, wearing a black top and vibrant red pants. In the bottom photograph, she is turned to the side wearing a long, light blue kimono. The room is cluttered with books and various items. On the right page, handwritten text fills most of the space, with purple and black ink. The script is cursive and covers philosophical musings, seemingly reflecting on empathy and curiosity. A paper clip is visible at the bottom left corner of the left page.

Top Photo Caption: "Birthday morning. From KELLY NIKE GEAR"
Bottom Photo Caption: "FROM GRETCHEN a Kimono from her family."
Right Page: Redirect. Person A brings conversation back to him or herself. So little curiosity. So much self-interest. A gentle level of curiosity is such a gesture of respect + care, as long as it doesn't veer into control/subversion. Be curious to learn, acknowledge, recognize, create unity with someone. Not with ulterior motives of one-upmanship or exposing flaws or neuroses. I never responded well to teasing unless the aim was to expose.
